The USB-C5 extends four USB devices up to 100 feet (30 meters). The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.

The USB-C5 extends four USB devices up to 100 feet (30 meters). The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.

  • One female USB Type B connector.
  • Supports a USB Computer (PC, SUN, MAC).
    • When using certain MAC computers with USB-C5, the maximum extension is 75 feet (23 meters).
  • Multiplatform support: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server 2000/2003/2008, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD and MAC OS 9/10.

Interface Cables

  • Existing device cables with male Type A connector required.
Extension Cable
  • Use CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 UTP straight through cable for TIA/EIA-568B wiring terminated with standard RJ45 connectors (not included).
Extension Limits
  • Extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 100 feet. (30 meters)
    • When using certain MAC computers with USB-CS, the maximum extension is 75 feet (23 meters).
  • Use of CAT6 cable may decrease the maximum length of extension.
